An engagement photography session is so much fun because it gives me a chance to work with my couples before their big day. During an engagement photography session, couples get the experience of being professionally photographed before their wedding day. When taking engagement photos my goal is to capture the natural interactions between the couple. For the most part I give minimal direction because I love when couples laugh and smile naturally without force. That’s why it was so cute to photograph Sara and Ricky for their engagement photography session.
Sara and Ricky were great to work with. I could tell that they were both a little bit nervous at the beginning of the shoot. Ricky was actually full of giggles when we first started. The giggles were good because it allowed both of them to naturally smile and laugh without direction. By the end of the session both Sara and Ricky were relaxed and ended up having a lot of fun with the shoot.
I shot Sara and Ricky’s engagement photography session at the River Walk located in Mishawaka. We ended the session in the streets of the city’s downtown area. I loved the couples outfit choices and how the buildings in the street scene coordinated perfectly. Thank you Sara and Ricky for a great session! You guys did an awesome job and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding in April 2015. Here are a few of my favorite’s from this session. Enjoy!
