The Homestead 1835 Wedding | Brian & Kim

Wedding Venue: The Homestead 1835 | New Carlisle, IN.

I absolutely loved working with Brian and Kim during their engagement session and on their wedding day. The Homestead 1835 in New Carlisle Indiana was the perfect backdrop to their vintage inspired wedding. The day started with hair and make-up at the Beehive Salon  in South Bend. From there, we traveled to the venue to get ready before walking down the aisle. Brian and Kim opted to do what I call a “first look no look” photo, which was a super sweet moment for the couple before the ceremony.

Photographing the reception/ dining area at the Homestead 1835 was one of my favorite times during the day. The bride, Kim, handmade all of the vintage inspired centerpieces which turned out absolutely gorgeous. I have told her several times that she needs to take up a career in wedding design. I truly hope she considers.

To Brian and Kim, thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day. It was so much fun working with you and your family during your wedding day. I wish you all of the happiness and love you both can handle and congrats on purchasing your first home together! Love and Blessings!

Tippecanoe Wedding – Felipe and Danielle

Photographer: Monica Brazier Photography
Venue: Tippecanoe Place Mansion
Brides Hair: Haley Callahan @ Nicholas J Salon and Spa

Felipe and Danielle are one of the cutest couples I have had the opportunity to photograph. It’s an easy task as a photographer to work with couples who are totally into each other. Their Tippecanoe wedding was beautiful and intimate. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house when they both read their vows to each other or when the groom announced during the ceremony that they were expecting. Felipe and Danielle, thank you for allowing me to be apart of your special day. I hope you enjoy this preview of your wedding day photos. Blessings and love to you and your new family!

Winter Engagement Session

Indiana winters are brutally cold and snowy. Every winter I always tell myself, “Next year I’m moving to Florida!” Fortunately I am super blessed to work with amazing couples that can make a snowy winter engagement session smokin hot!

Joe and Erin are actually now Mr. and Mrs. Roe. They wed last year in August and I had the pleasure of photographing their beautiful nuptuials which I will share in a later post. Erin really wanted snow for the outdoor portion of their winter engagement session and just enough is exactly what she got. Joe and Erin were naturals in front of the camera and their winter engagement session turned out really cute! Thank you Erin and Joe for allow me to share these memories with you.

St. Hedwig South Bend Wedding

Ceremony: Grace United Methodist Church

Reception Venue: St. Hedwig South Bend

After Ceremony Photos: Doubletree Hotel South Bend

I absolutely have a blast photographing weddings and I feel so honored when couples allow me to share one of the most important days of their lives with them. Sara and Ricky wed on April 25th 2015 at the beautiful Grace United Methodist Church in South Bend. I love how Sara and Ricky incorporated the groom’s hispanic culture by adding the “coin” and “cord” traditions into the ceremony. These items symbolize  prosperity and togetherness for the new couple.

The couple and I met and started planning for their wedding day one year in advance. This allowed us to truly plan together and map out the exact plans for their wedding day. I truly believe that proper planning is the key ingredient for a successful and organized wedding day not to mention that organization relieves wedding day stress. Sara and Ricky’s wedding day went like clock work and turned out to be a beautiful day. We didn’t allow the rainy weather to stop us from creating really cute photographs in between the ceremony and reception. We even stopped for a quick photo op in front of the South Bend Cubs stadium to incorporate the Groom’s love for baseball.

The couples reception took place at the historic St. Hedwig South Bend. The decor was beautiful and the floor to ceiling up-lighting at the venue created a perfect backdrop for beautiful reception photos. If you are considering St. Hedwig South Bend  for your wedding reception, all I can say is op for the “pie package!” It will not disappoint!

Love and Blessings!

South Bend Wedding Photography ~ Moore Wedding

Last month I had the opportunity to photograph Jennifer and Craig’s South Bend wedding. The day was perfect and started at the Ivy Hotel near the campus of Notre Dame. The first thing I noticed when I arrived to the hotel  was the really pretty wrap around porch in the front of the building. You can imagine my excitement when the bride, Jennifer,  gave me the go ahead to photograph her dress, shoes, and other details outside on the porch. There are not too many brides that would give the go ahead to have their wedding dress photographed outdoors. Thank you Jennifer for trusting me!  As a result we ended up with really beautiful dress and detail shots which are now some of my favorites to date. I loved the “I DO” stickers on the bottom of the brides shoes. Super cute!

Jennifer you looked absolutely stunning as a bride! I always make it a point after the bride has gotten ready to take a few portraits of her while the make-up is fresh.

IMG_2048_edited-1Jennifer and Craig are big football fans so they wanted to incorporate the sport into their South Bend wedding photography. After the ceremony we traveled to several spots including the College Football Hall of Fame, located in downtown South Bend, for some creative football themed wedding day photos.

You and your wedding party were great to work with. Congrats again to both of you!

South Bend Wedding Photographer

South Bend wedding photographer

South Bend wedding photographer Monica Brazier offers South Bend Indiana brides the very best in South Bend wedding photography. Are you getting married in South Bend Indiana? Who will be your Indiana wedding photographer? Here is a list of some of the things you should consider when looking for a South Bend wedding photographer.

//1 Personality. When selecting a south bend wedding photographer you are selecting more than just a photographer for your wedding day. You are hiring a wedding photographer that will be with you, your family and your group all day on your wedding day. Personality is a huge part of the selection process and should not be overlooked or discounted in any way. Your south bend wedding photographers personality can set the tone for your entire wedding day and your bridal party. Ultimately it can impact your wedding photography altogether. You will more than likely be working with your wedding photographer for a year, or longer in some cases, by the time you factor in your engagement session and post wedding photography and albums.

//2 Price. While price is always a factor when selecting your south bend wedding photographer, it should not be the only thing that matters. All too often we hear horror stories from brides who made a decision for their wedding photography based purely on price. It turns out to be foolish in the end. When its all said and done, your wedding photography will be all you have to remember your wedding day.

//3  Wedding Albums. What will you do with all your images from your south bend wedding photographer? Most people opt to place them in a beautifully designed wedding album that your wedding photographer should provide you with. Don’t underestimate the importance of a wedding album from your wedding day. This is your first family heirloom and your one keepsake you will have forever to remember your Indiana wedding. When selecting an Indiana wedding photographer you should look for an album that best represents you and your new family. Wedding albums come in all shapes and sizes. Questions you should ask. Your Indiana wedding photographer 1) How many pages come in the wedding album? 2) How many images will be in the wedding album? 3) What leather options are available for my wedding album?

//4  Coverage. Something often overlooked when selecting a South Bend wedding photographer is the number of hours that will be offered during the coverage of your South Bend wedding. Typically you will want your wedding photographer to be with you to document all the moments of your wedding day. After all, that is what you are hiring them for. That being said, typical coverage requirements for your wedding day should be about 8-10 hours. Be careful here. Some South Bend Indiana wedding photographers offer cut-rate prices by offering you less than adequate wedding coverage for your day. These become hidden costs and once you realize it, it is often too late.

//5  Number of wedding photographers. How many South Bend wedding photographers will be at your event? Most events need at least two wedding photographers. This ensures that your wedding photographer is focused on working with your group and directing the day and allows the second wedding photographer to have coverage going on at the same time. We find that by having two South Bend wedding photographers at your event, your wedding photography needs can best be met all while ensuring that nothing gets missed from your big day. Monica Brazier is a South Bend wedding photographer based in South Bend Indiana offering wedding photography in the state of Indiana, Chicago IL, and destination locations.
